Here at Rutherford Dental, we can provide treatment to those eligible under government schemes.
Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS)
If your child/children are eligible for the CDBS, we can provide basic treatment included under the scheme. Treatments covered are things like check ups, X-rays, cleans, fissure sealings, fillings, root canals and extractions and each child has an available balance of $1000 over 2 years to use at either one or more dentists. Other treatments such as orthodontics and cosmetic dental work are not covered under the scheme.
Who is Eligible?
The scheme covers children/teenagers from 2-17 years old who are eligible for Medicare and are part of a family receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A. Children who are receiving an Australian Government payment may also be eligible, please check humanservices.gov.au/childdental for more information.

If you are eligible for treatment under Veterans Affairs, please inform our staff when making your appointment. The only thing you require is your Veterans Affairs card when you attend and we will place the claim for you online after your appointment.
